Ocoee began as a camp on the north shore of Starke Lake in the 1850s. It was platted in 1886 and named after a river in Tennessee. Captain Bluford Sims budded wild orange trees here and opened the first commercial citrus nursery in the United States. His young trees went out to groves across Florida and as far as California. Today Ocoee is one of the larger cities in west Orange County, and MyGarageFloors puts in one floor here: a full polyaspartic flake system.
Ocoee grew with its highways. SR 50 came through in 1959, the Turnpike in 1964, the East-West Expressway extension in 1990, and SR 429 in 2000. Each one opened land for new subdivisions. The population went from 24,391 in 2000 to 47,295 in 2020. So most garages here belong to homes built in the last few decades, with a smaller set of older houses near downtown and the lake. A lot of those newer floors were never sealed, and many have been painted once and given up on.
The Ocoee process is short to explain. A diamond grinder takes off the top of the slab and any old paint, leaving clean, open concrete. Cracks get standard repair, built into the price. Then comes the full polyaspartic system, from the base coat to the clear topcoat. It is UV stable, so the color does not fade to yellow.
No subcontractors touch your floor. The people who install it are our own employees, hired and trained in our system, and MyGarageFloors is not a franchise. A lifetime warranty stands behind each interior floor we put down in Ocoee. You pay the lowest price in Greater Orlando, and the price-match guarantee means you never have to wonder.
