Lake Nona is not its own city. It is a planned community inside the City of Orlando, in Orange County, southeast of Orlando International Airport. Tavistock Group built it, and it has grown fast, from about 1,500 residents in 2000 to more than 50,000 by 2015. Medical City sits at its center, with Nemours Children's Hospital, the UCF College of Medicine and a VA hospital, and the USTA National Campus opened here in 2018. Most of that growth arrived with a bare concrete garage floor.
Nearly every home in Lake Nona is recent. Neighborhoods like Laureate Park and Northlake Park were built in the last couple of decades, so slabs are young and in good shape. That makes it the right time to coat, before the first oil drip or paint spill. A new floor has no oil soaked in and no old paint to fight. Leave it bare, though, and it will stain, dust and wear like any other garage.
Even a brand new Lake Nona slab gets full prep. A diamond grinder removes the smooth top layer the builder left, so the coating bonds to open concrete. Acid etching is never used. Standard crack repair is included, since even young slabs crack. Then comes the full polyaspartic system: a base coat, broadcast color flake and a clear topcoat. It resists yellowing in the sun for good.
We are not a franchise, and we do not hand floors to subcontractors. Each installer is our own employee, hired by us and trained on our system from the first day. Every interior floor in Lake Nona is backed for life. The price is the lowest in Greater Orlando, and we will match a lower one if you find it.
