Kissimmee started out as Allendale and took its current name when it incorporated in 1883. It is the county seat of Osceola County, on the northwest shore of Lake Tohopekaliga. After the freezes of the 1890s killed the citrus, the town lived on open range cattle, and ranching stayed central until Walt Disney World opened nearby in 1971. The 2020 census counted 79,226 residents. MyGarageFloors.com puts one floor in a Kissimmee garage: a full polyaspartic flake system.
That history leaves Kissimmee with a wide mix of garages. Around downtown and the Kissimmee Historic District, homes and slabs are old. Out along the newer roads, subdivisions are recent and still filling in. Some homes are rentals or second homes, too. An older slab tends to carry old paint, oil and cracks from decades of use. A newer one is smooth and tight, and left bare it stains fast, often in the first few months.
Both get the same start. We diamond grind the concrete to a clean, open surface and remove any old coating. We do not use acid. Standard crack repair is covered in the online price. The full polyaspartic system then goes on, starting with the base coat, then the color flake, and finishing with a clear topcoat. It stays its color in Central Florida sun, without yellowing.
Our installers work for us, full stop. We hire them, train them in our own system, and send them out as our crew. A Kissimmee floor is never handed to a subcontractor, and there is no franchise owner in the middle. You deal with one company from the online price to the final topcoat. Each interior floor is backed for life, and the price is the lowest in Greater Orlando.
