Sarasota first incorporated as a town in 1902 and became a city in 1913. Today it is the seat of Sarasota County, with 54,842 residents in the 2020 census. The Ringling circus wintered here starting in 1927, and the city later gave its name to a style of building: the Sarasota School of Architecture, a mid-century modern look made for heat and sun. Those homes and everything built since all have slabs that take the same care.
City limits reach well past the mainland. Lido Key, St. Armands Key, Bird Key and the north end of Siesta Key are all inside them, along with neighborhoods like the Rosemary District near downtown. That puts a lot of Sarasota garages within reach of salt water. Many slabs are decades old and have carried storage, cars and sometimes a workshop for years. Some still have the original paint, or two or three coats on top of it.
So every Sarasota floor starts with a full diamond grind. It strips the slab to fresh, open concrete and takes any old paint or coating with it. Acid etching is never part of our prep. Standard crack repair is covered too, at no extra line on the bill. On top of that clean surface goes the full polyaspartic system, base coat to clear topcoat, with color flake broadcast between. It holds its color in the Gulf Coast sun instead of yellowing.
Our installers are not day labor and not a subcontracted crew. They are our employees, hired by us and trained in the one system we install. We are not a franchise either. Every interior floor in Sarasota is covered for life. It comes at the lowest price in Greater Tampa Bay, and we match a written quote for the same complete floor.
