Venice is a planned city. Fred Albee hired the planner John Nolen to lay out its streets, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers owned the land during the first building boom of 1925 and 1926. The town incorporated in 1926 and became a city in 1927. It sits on the Gulf in southern Sarasota County and calls itself the Shark Tooth Capital of the World. Venice homeowners get one system from us, built for a Gulf coast garage.
Venice skews older. Its median age in the 2020 census was 69.8, and plenty of owners spend only the winter here. The garage often doubles as storage, a golf cart spot or a workshop. For seasonal owners it may sit closed up from spring until the cooler months come back. Homes range from the Venezia Park historic district near the old town plan to later ranch homes and newer communities farther east.
Whatever the age of the slab, we prep it the same way. We diamond grind it to clean, open concrete and remove any coating that was there before. No acid touches it. Standard crack repair for a Venice slab is already counted in the price you get online. Then we lay the full polyaspartic system, from the base coat through the flake to the clear topcoat. Sun through the door will not turn it yellow.
You will not meet a subcontractor. The people who install your floor are employees of our company, hired and trained by us in our own system. MyGarageFloors.com is one company, and it does not sell franchises. Every interior floor has a lifetime warranty, and the price is the lowest in Greater Tampa Bay, with a price match to keep it that way.
